Some of the aspirants in tomorrow's party nominations.
After several weeks of spirited political campaigns to woo party supports ahead of the nominations, tomorrow is the day that decides who proceeds to the next political level and who returns home disappointed after spending their millions and time in the campaigns.

Tomorrow, Thursday January 17, is the day that all the aspirants had been anxiously waiting for in the past several weeks of breathtaking campaigns.

On the parliamentary front, The National Alliance party (TNA) presents at least six aspirants for the contest for the party ticket. The six are Joel Mwangi Thayu (former councillor), Allan Maina (businessman), Michael Mugweru (businessman), Raphael Thimba (former chairman of Njiru District Peace Committee), James Gakuya (immediate former councillor of Muthurwa Ward) and Mwangi Waititu (immediate former councillor - Dandora II ward).

Out of these six aspirants, Allan Maina and James Gakuya are seen as the front runners given their great investment in the campaigns. However, as in any other political contest, any surprise could emerge tomorrow.

In the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM/CORD) camp, tomorrow's contest for the party's parliamentary ticket will witness a duel of three aspirants. The three are Dr William Obwaka, Eng. James Onyango and Joan Atieno Odawa. Here, Dr Obwaka is widely seen as the favorite aspirants for the ticket, but only tomorrow will decide. Keep it here for more updates on political events.
