Dandora: Maina Moves to APK to Face Gakuya

Politician Allan Maina Gathuku has decamped to the Alliance Party of Kenya (APK) to contest the Embakasi North parliamentary seat. He will now face his archrival James Gakuya who is running on TNA ticket and Joan Odawa who is running on ODM ticket.

Mr Maina lost the Embakasi North TNA parliamentary ticket to James Gakuya by about 1500 votes during the party nominations on January 18.
Sources close to Mr Maina say that the politician decamped to APK after learning about massive irregularities that favoured Mr Gakuya in the party nominations.

In Dandora, County Rep aspirant Edward Chege has also moved to APK after losing the TNA ticket to Stephen Kambi. Mr Chege too has claimed massive irregularities during TNA nominations.
